Turnips for Toddlers
What do you do when the school's organic co-op gives you a bunch of turnips? Eat them for snack ofcourse! And the results are in.... toddlers love turnips! One day we added the turnips to our soup. Another day we smashed the turnips into the mashed potatoes!
Miss Kari is now offering a "Mini Montessori" class 2 Saturdays a month for ages 0-3. It's a great place for parents and babies to interact together in a prepared Montessori environment. It's an hour (9am-10am) of a little worktime, a little Suzuki baby music, and a little snack. The cost is a small donation to our "Pennies For Peace" jar. Email Miss Kari if you and your child would like to attend and she'll send you the date of the next class.
Miss Kari has been at Desert Shadows Montessori for the past 5 years. She is a Montessori early childhood educator for children ages 0-3 and 3-6. She has also trained in Suzuki music and specializes in the prenatal, baby, and toddler years. She attended South Mountain C College Montessori Education Program in Phoenix, Az, MECA-Seton Montessori Institute in Chicago, and Ottawa University's Suzuki Early Childhood Music Education program in Ottawa, Kansas.
Desert Shadows Montessori has been located in Mesa, AZ for over 20 years. Our Toddler Montessori Community is new this year and serves children ages 1-3. We offer a natural environment that includes organic snack and cloth diapers.
